ACCEPTANCE

By using our website or placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or have parental/guardian consent), legally capable of entering a binding contract, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not use the site or purchase our products. We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion.

PRODUCTS

All 8BitLab products are designed and engineered hardware devices. Product listings, images, and descriptions are as accurate as we can make them — but minor variations between prototype renders and final products may occur.

Product Availability

Products are sold subject to availability. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. If a product becomes unavailable after your order is placed, we will notify you and issue a full refund.

Pre-Orders

Some products may be available for pre-order before shipping. Pre-order timelines are estimates. If a pre-order is delayed beyond 30 days of the stated ship date, you may cancel for a full refund.

ORDERS & PAYMENT

Order Confirmation

Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. A binding contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation email. We reserve the right to cancel orders in cases of pricing errors, suspected fraud, or stock discrepancies — with a full refund issued immediately.

Pricing

All prices are in Egyptian Pounds (EGP) unless otherwise stated. Prices include applicable VAT. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout. Free shipping applies on orders above EGP 2,000.

Payment

We accept major credit and debit cards and other payment methods listed at checkout. All transactions are processed through PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways. We never store your full card details.

If a payment is declined, your order will not be processed. Please check your details or contact your bank.

Fraud Prevention

We use automated fraud detection. Orders flagged as potentially fraudulent may be held for verification. We will contact you via email within 24 hours of any hold.

SHIPPING

We ship across Egypt and to select international destinations. Shipping timelines are estimates and may be affected by circumstances outside our control (customs, carrier delays, holidays).

• Cairo & Giza: 1–3 business days
• Other Egyptian governorates: 3–7 business days
• International: 10–21 business days (varies by destination)

Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery confirmation. If your package is lost or arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days of the expected delivery date and we will investigate and resolve the issue.

International orders may be subject to import duties and taxes. These are the buyer's responsibility and are not included in our prices.

WARRANTY

All 8BitLab hardware products include a 12-month limited warranty from the date of purchase, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

What's Covered

• Manufacturing defects (components, build quality, circuitry)
• Failure under normal use conditions within the warranty period
• Dead-on-arrival (DOA) products — full replacement within 14 days

What's Not Covered

• Physical damage caused by misuse, drops, or unauthorized modification
• Liquid damage (unless the product is rated water-resistant)
• Normal wear and tear (battery capacity, finish wear)
• Damage from using incompatible accessories
• Products with removed or tampered serial numbers

To make a warranty claim, contact contact@8bitlab.org with your order number and a description of the issue. We will guide you through the process. Warranty repair or replacement is at our discretion.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on 8bitlab.org — including product designs, logos, illustrations, copy, and software — is the intellectual property of 8BitLab Electronics and is protected under applicable copyright and trademark law.

• You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, or commercially exploit any 8BitLab content without written permission
• Product purchases grant you a license to use the product hardware and associated software for personal, non-commercial use
• The 8BitLab name, logo, and product names are trademarks. Use in any promotional material requires our consent
• Reverse engineering of firmware or hardware for commercial purposes is prohibited

PROHIBITED USE

You agree not to use our website or products in any way that:

• Violates applicable Egyptian or international laws or regulations
• Fraudulently misrepresents your identity or payment information
• Attempts to scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from our site
• Interferes with, disrupts, or impairs the website infrastructure
• Resells 8BitLab products without authorization, particularly in violation of regional pricing agreements
• Uses the ChromaScan or Creator PowerBank for commercial resale of derived data without a commercial license agreement

Violations may result in account termination, order cancellation, and referral to appropriate legal authorities.

LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by Egyptian consumer protection law, 8BitLab's liability for any claim arising from a product or order is limited to the purchase price of that product.

We are not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data stored on devices (always maintain your own backups)
• Third-party service failures (carriers, payment processors, paint shops listed via ChromaScan)
• Delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our control (force majeure)

Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under Egyptian consumer protection law that cannot be waived by contract.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our products shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cairo, Egypt.

If you are an international customer, you acknowledge that these Terms are governed by Egyptian law and that any dispute resolution will occur in Egypt.

CHANGES

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our products, operations, or applicable law. When we do, we will update the "Last Update" date at the top of this page.

For material changes, we will send an email notification to registered accounts at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of our services after that date constitutes acceptance.
